Tradition & hospitality

The Schorta's Alvetern has been owned by the Schorta family since 1976. In the meantime, the house has developed from a small pension with 10 beds to a small, stylish hotel with 34 beds.
1990: The rear house with 8 new rooms was built. Of the 8 rooms, 3 have a balcony and 2 have a garden seating area. 2 other rooms without a balcony face south. All rooms have spacious bathrooms and are very bright and quiet. Internet for free in the whole of Alvetern was a matter of course for us and was introduced in 2003.
2004/05: The restaurant and the dining room were renovated in two stages. The stylish rooms are modern and bright and invite you to linger. The house was continuously renovated and expanded.
2005: Part of the room equipment was replaced.
2008: The house is presented in a new color with a new lettering. A seating area with tea lounch was also set up for our guests.
2010: Takeover by the second generation. Roger Schorta has taken over the management of the house as successor.
The attic was expanded. 5 modern and cozy rooms with Swiss pine furniture, slate bathrooms and walk-in closets have been created with great attention to detail. A small guest library completes our offer.
2015: Ottilia and Roger Schorta married and have been bringing the house together ever since. Son Livio is born.
2016: renovation of the rooms with balcony / terrace. New floors, solid pine furniture and comfortable seating ensure a relaxing holiday. (Completed in 2019)
2017: Opening of our b & b chasa Arfusch. The b & b is located opposite the hotel and has 3 cozy, simple double rooms and 2 studios under the roof.
2018: Birth of son Sandro.
Introduction of the digital guest folder, smart heating control and lighting.

2019: Renovation of the 2 studios in b & b chasa Arfusch
